Wow, it has been WAY too long. Hello... anyone who might still read this? Things are well in my corner, I'm writing a little, reading a little, and apparently raising a book hound. Reading is my now-nine-month-old's favorite activity. He can listen to story after story after story without complaint, though he is quite choosy about which stories. Among his current favorites are Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and J.D. Lester's Mommy Calls Me Monkeypants and Daddy Calls Me Doodlebug. I can recite these in my sleep, but I'll never complain about his enthusiasm about books. What can I say, he comes by it honestly.
As for my own reading, I'm finally tackling the Hunger Games trilogy, and having just started Mockingjay, I remain totally hooked. Katniss is such a badass! I'm loving every little thing about her and the Panem universe. I'm not sure what I'll do when I finish this book, I'd like to slow down to make it last, but it's just not possible. I'm so out of the loop current-book-wise (I feel like I slept right through this winter's awards season), I don't even know what to jump into next. As always, I'd love to hear recommendations.
Happy belated, belated New Year. I hope to be more present here from now on.

Good news about your lil book puppy.
I want to get to The Hunger Games soon. There seem to be too many trilogies to keep up with.
