Debby G.

Dear Julia is a charming YA novel about a girl passionate about French cooking. I thought it was a lot of fun. And it made me hungry.

Also, Flavor of the Week by Tucker Shaw is a fun YA novel about a teenage boy who wants to go to cooking school. That made me hungry too!

Girl Detective

Heartburn by Norah Ephron is funny and has recipes, plus was a good movie, I thought. I loved all the food in the early Francesca Lia Block books, but was disappointed when I read Necklace of Kisses, not only a disappointing book, but the food was vegan, and did not sound nearly so transporting!
